Freshpet was founded in 2005, since then we have been creating new fresh foods for dogs including Slice & Serve rolls, Fresh Bites, Treats and recently our new Homestyle line. We launched a line of treats cobranded with Tamar Geller about two years ago. After a year or more, we mutually decided to end the relationship. Freshpet relaunched the treats in October under the name Dog Joy Treats and Tamar Geller has continued her work with training and philanthropy. In March of 2009, Tyson foods purchased a minority share of Freshpet. Tyson does have plans to launch a pet treat, but that is completely seperate from Freshpet and will not be refrigerated. I saw the product in the store and didn't find the ingredient list impressive.
